Carrie Kusserow, CCEP, CHC, CHPC, has over 15 years of experience in health care compliance. Ms. Kusserow specializes in compliance advisory services including corporate compliance program development and implementation, evaluation of compliance program effectiveness, compliance risk assessments, policy and procedure development, investigations, and hotline operations and issue management.
Dr. Cornelia M. Dorfschmid has over 30 years of private and government sector experience in health care compliance consulting, the majority of which was in management and executive capacities. She is a recognized expert in the areas of claims auditing, overpayment analysis and risk management and corporate health care compliance.
Steve Forman is a certified public accountant with decades of experience in health care compliance. Mr. Forman specializes in developing and implementing compliance programs, assessing an organization’s vulnerabilities and risks, implementing effective monitoring systems, testing internal compliance controls and working with senior management and Boards in developing strategic plans.
Ms. Shuman assists health care organizations to develop, implement and evaluate their compliance programs and HIPAA privacy programs. Ms. Shuman specializes in our firm’s HIPAA Privacy services, including leading privacy investigations, breach risk assessments, breach notification letters, breach reporting to the Office for Civil Rights and corrective actions plans. She specializes in serving as Interim Privacy Officer for large health care systems, managed care organizations, comprehensive cancer center and health care business associate.
Rachael Price, Registered Nurse, is a seasoned certified inpatient and outpatient coder and a certified documentation improvement professional with many years of experience in health care. She is a certified hospice coder and experienced doing claims audits for a variety of physician practice specialties.
Thomas Herrmann advises health care clients on compliance and regulatory matters, with a focus on development and management of effective health care compliance programs. Mr. Herrmann is a recognized expert on issues related to the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law and the False Claims Act.
