HHS Awards Affordable Care Act Funds for New Health Care Delivery Sites.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that it would be making awards of approximately $67 million to health care centers.  Of the funds, $19 million is made available under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to establish 32 new health service delivery sites.  The new sites are expected to increase access to preventative and primary health care to more than 130,000 people.  In addition, $48 million will be awarded to nearly 1,200 health care centers to support ongoing operations and quality improvement activities.
