Kirsten Wild, RN, MBA, CHC, brings over 30 years of health care compliance experience to her role as a Compliance Specialist at Strategic Management. Ms. Wild draws on her deep operational and leadership background to help clients build, strengthen, and assess their compliance programs. Her work is centered on fostering a strong culture of compliance and reducing organizational risk across a wide range of health care settings.
In her current role, Ms. Wild provides strategic guidance on compliance program design, policy development, risk assessments, and effectiveness evaluations. She works closely with clients to ensure their programs align with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
As a seasoned Privacy Officer, Ms. Wild also offers expert support on HIPAA Privacy compliance, including breach risk assessments, policy and procedure implementation, and responses to Office for Civil Rights (OCR) investigations. Trusted by executive leadership, she is frequently consulted for her practical insights into complex regulatory challenges and her ability to translate compliance requirements into actionable strategies.
Previous Work Experience
Before joining Strategic Management, Ms. Wild built a distinguished career in health care compliance, holding a range of leadership roles across diverse health care settings. She served as Interim and Designated Compliance and Privacy Officer for a broad spectrum of organizations, including academic medical centers, large integrated health systems, critical access hospitals (CAHs), disproportionate share hospitals (DSHs), long-term acute care hospitals (LTACs), skilled nursing facilities, home health and hospice agencies, ambulatory care settings, insurance companies, HMOs, independent physician practices, and health care-related charitable foundations.
In addition to her operational compliance roles, Ms. Wild contributed to federal oversight initiatives as a subcontractor and Subject Matter Expert for a Medicare Drug Integrity Contractor (MEDIC). In this capacity, she conducted some of the first Compliance Program Effectiveness Audits for Medicare Parts C and D plansโsupporting CMS in its efforts to strengthen program integrity, audit readiness, and fraud and abuse prevention.
She has also led organizations through complex regulatory challenges, including aligning internal controls with the stringent obligations outlined in Corporate Integrity Agreements issued by HHS OIG. Her hands-on guidance has helped organizations meet federal compliance requirements while building sustainable, ethical operations.
