Professional Experience

Jason Marsh has over 20 years of experience at a leadership level, with patient care, internal auditing and development and implementation of compliance programs from the ground up. As a Compliance Specialist, Mr. Marsh applies his experience in the Interim Compliance Officer capacity for organizations that need temporary coverage managing and assessing their Compliance Programs.

Previous Work Experience

Prior to joining Strategic Management, Mr. Marsh has served as  (a) Director, Compliance, Risk and Audit Services for a large university-based health system, reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) with responsibilities included corporate compliance, research compliance and privacy matters; (b) Corporate Compliance & Privacy Officer/Security Officer where he provided compliance and privacy compliance services; (c) Regional Compliance & Privacy Officer for a large national hospital system; and (d) System Physician Practice Compliance Officer responsible for compliance oversight and auditing of 50 physician practices.

Though his experience, Mr. Marsh was gained in-depth knowledge and skill in the areas of auditing of compliance, research, and patient privacy programs.  He has specialized in privacy programs, having developed compliance-related policies, education and training programs, and HIPAA compliance auditing/investigation. He frequently conducted high risk Compliance and Privacy Audits (e.g., EMTALA, Credentialing, Signage, HIPAA Privacy, IT Security). Mr. Marsh has extensive experience with developing and delivering educational and training programs related to Compliance Program Operations, HIPPA Compliance, HIPAA Breach Investigations, Patient Privacy, Vendor Relationships, Ongoing Monitoring/Auditing, and Provider Based Entities.  He has facilitated compliance audits and investigations reporting results to executive leadership and board oversight committees. He is skilled in documentation retention, corrective action planning, report writing, conducting compliance trend analysis, auditing and monitoring.  He is thoroughly familiar with many supporting systems for health care organizations (e.g., EPIC, PECOS, SafeCare, Comply Track, MediTrack, EPCS, etc.).

Mr. Marsh was selected and participated in the FBI National Law Enforcement Academy Compliance Program for Compliance Officers.
