Understanding the Complexities of Subsidy Payments for Hospitals

As a response to a variety of recognized needs, such as patient care, teaching, research, and leadership related to hospital care, hospitalist programs are increasingly common at hospitals.  This articles focuses on subsidy payments that are often provided to hospitalist programs from the hospital, local primary care, and multispecialty groups.
