CMS Seeks Nominations for Advisory Panel on Hospital Outpatient Payment.

CMS is soliciting nominations to fill five vacancies on the Advisory Panel on Hospital Outpatient Payment (Panel), effective September 30, 2013.  The Panel advises the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services and the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on the supervision of hospital outpatient services and the clinical integrity of the Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) groups and their associated weights.

CMS considers technical advice provided by the Panel in preparing the Outpatient Prospective Payment System proposed and final rules.  The Panel is required to meet up to three times a year.  The current Panel exists for a 2 year period, effective through November 19, 2014.
