Pascale B. Prepetit, MSHA, MSCSM, RHIA, CHPC, is a healthcare compliance specialist who serves as an Interim Compliance and Privacy Officer for healthcare organizations, providing experienced leadership during periods of transition or program development. In this role, Ms. Prepetit maintains and oversees compliance and privacy programs, including the policies, procedures, and systems that safeguard the integrity, security, and confidentiality of protected health information (PHI). Drawing on a strong background in compliance, data governance, and program development, Ms. Prepetit works with operational leaders to strengthen program effectiveness and ensure regulatory alignment.

Ms. Prepetit brings in-depth knowledge of HIPAA, the Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA), and revenue cycle management, along with hands-on experience across electronic health record platforms such as Epic and Cerner. As an interim leader, Ms. Prepetit assesses existing compliance and privacy programs to identify gaps and implement practical, risk-based solutions aligned with OIG compliance guidance and the HIPAA Privacy Rule.

Previous Work Experience

Prior to joining Strategic Management Services as a Compliance Specialist, Ms. Prepetit served as Chief Privacy Officer for Memorial Healthcare System, where she built and led the organization’s enterprise privacy program for over a decade. She partnered with executive leadership, compliance, legal, and IT teams to ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen data governance, and safeguard patient information across a large, complex health system.

With more than 20 years of experience in health information management, privacy, and health informatics, Ms. Prepetit has led major electronic health record (EHR) initiatives, enhanced documentation integrity and revenue cycle operations, and implemented enterprise-wide privacy monitoring programs. She previously served as Director of Health Information Management at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and has extensive experience overseeing IT systems supporting the full revenue cycle. She is also an active mentor and speaker on healthcare privacy, leadership, and health information management.
