Professional Experience
Ms. Bower leads in conducting policy and regulatory research and analysis in various health care related areas, including Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations, billing and coding requirements, HIPAA, and corporate compliance. Ms. Bower works with Strategic Management senior management in assisting organizations meet current regulatory standards by conducting and reviewing compliance program evaluation activities. She applies current legal and regulatory standards in the developing, reviewing, and updating corporate compliance codes of conduct, policies, and procedures. She develops specialized compliance education and training programs consistent with current regulatory and legal standards, including HIPAA, False Claims Act, program integrity, arrangements with referrals sources, etc. She conducts training programs, as well as the means to evaluate their effectiveness. She has extensive experience in conducting HIPAA Privacy and Security assessments for clients to ensure adherence to federal regulations. She leads in research and analysis in the application of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations, carrier manual instructions and guidance. She conducts similar reviews and analysis of the DoD TriCare and Department of Veterans Affairs regulations. She provides regulatory updates for clients on new federal regulatory and policy initiatives within the health care industry.
