  The development and implementation of policies and procedures that document control procedures and establish the rules for business processes is essential to successful regulatory risk management. The rapidly changing regulatory environment requires continuous updating of existing and development of new policies and procedures whenever new rules and regulations are issued. To assist healthcare organizations understand, implement and stay up-to-date with the ever-changing regulatory environment and its operational impact, Strategic Management developed a web-based Policy Resource Center.  
 
At the core of the Product are Policy and Procedure documents, Regulatory Requirement Matrices, Training Programs, and other protocols organized according to guided regulatory categories and specific risk areas. Each Policy and Procedure contains background on the subject matter, purpose and objectives, policy statements, detailed procedures, definitions, and citations of the regulatory references. All Policies and Procedures are updated regularly based on regulatory changes and new Policies and Procedures are added on a monthly basis.
 
  Each organization is assigned a Strategic Management Associate who is responsible for conducting telephone consultations and providing “Ask the Expert” services. When the organization needs advisory services from one of our senior consultants or subject matter experts, the Associate will serve as a liaison and ensure the organization gets connected with the appropriate consultant

In addition, the following services are included with each subscription:

  • A tutorial on how to write Policies and Procedures
  • Regular updates of Policies and Procedures: Associates track laws and regulations applicable to the health care industry and update P&P content and/or citations within 15 days of issuance.
  • Training programs on specific risk areas: Training programs regarding specific risk areas as well as regularly scheduled webinars are provided to subscribers.
  • Policy Review: A Policy Review Committee of experienced consultants and subject matter experts who, upon request, review a policy and offer recommendations for improvement.
  • One-on-one Consultation: Associates provide ongoing assistance and support through telephone consultations
